Why This Plugin?

Sanity provides a highly customizable content structure, and while setting up reusable page builder blocks isn't inherently difficult, it can be time-consuming and repetitive. As more Sanity projects embrace a page-building Studio experience, having a robust library of block schemas can help teams get up and running faster.

If you're coming from WordPress, you're likely familiar with widget plugins like Crocoblock, Happy Add-Ons, Unlimited Elements, and Elementor's built-in widgets. The key difference between those plugins and this one is that they come pre-bundled with UI components to display content. That works well within the confines of WordPress and Elementor, but as you may already know, Sanity is different.

When building Sanity schemas, it's essential to separate UI decisions from content as much as possible. Sanity Page Blocks aims to reduce time-to-live—especially for those new to Sanity—by providing flexible page builder schemas that work with any front-end implementation.
